Hospital Pharmacist 

PRN – Near Mason City, IA area

PharmServ is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a PRN/relief hospital assignment supporting a respected, community-focused medical center located approximately 35 miles east of Mason City, Iowa. This a critical access hospital offering a well-organized pharmacy operation, steady and manageable daily pace, and a collaborative, team-driven culture. The pharmacy utilizes Meditech Expanse.

This opportunity is well-suited for a pharmacist who values a smaller hospital setting, enjoys hands-on inpatient work, and appreciates strong technician support along with close collaboration with providers and nursing staff.

Compensation for this Position:

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently. 
• Review patient profiles for interactions, contraindications, and dosing issues.
• Helping manage inventory, workflow, and routine compliance tasks with support from technicians.
• Review and verify Omnicell fills.
• Prepare non-hazardous IV medications both within and outside of the sterile compounding area (SCA).
• Serve as a resource for medication-related questions from clinical staff.

Schedule: 

• Coverage needed February 25^th – March 5^th
• No weekends
• Day shift

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, Active pharmacist license in Iowa, in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy 
• BCLS certification 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Immunization Admin. Certification
