Infusion Pharmacy Technician Permanent Placement- Near Des Moines Iowa area Start ASAP until position is filled CI- 2587 We have a permanent placement opportunity with a prominent healthcare organization that is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This is a Home Infusion Pharmacy setting located near the Des Moines, Iowa area. Key Responsibilities: · Maintain prescription and compounding records, delivery manifests, and other relevant documentation as directed by the Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist in charge. · Follow established policies and procedures for cleaning the pharmacy, compounding area, and warehouse. · Ensure proper maintenance of pharmacy-related equipment and maintain relevant documentation. · Conduct aseptic validation testing procedures and maintain records of the results. · Perform daily temperature checks on refrigerators, freezers, and drug storage areas, and document the findings. · Assist with biohazard waste disposal, complying with EPA, OSHA, and state guidelines. · Support the orientation and training of pharmacy staff. · Participate in branch quality assurance programs and on-call rotations. · Contribute to pharmacy team meetings and report any concerns or issues from patients/caregivers to the appropriate supervisor. · Participate in the Performance Improvement (PI) Program Coordination, including assisting in the development and implementation of the PI plan, identifying goals and patient outcomes, and reporting on activities and results. · Clean and calibrate IV pumps, poles, and compounding equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and established procedures. · Perform any other duties as assigned. · Accurately prepare and assemble patient-specific supplies for delivery. · Assist in retrieving and documenting lab results as needed for patient assessment. · Program or double-check IV pump settings for accuracy before delivery. Minimum Qualifications: · High school graduate or equivalent. · Meets licensure/certification requirements for Pharmacy Technicians in the state of Iowa. In states without specific requirements, certification must be obtained within six months of employment. · Experience in IV compounding. · Strong customer service and math skills. · Excellent communication, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. · Self-directed with exceptional time management skills and the ability to work independently. · Working knowledge of medical technology. · Availability for full-time, regular daytime hours and willingness to work occasional on-call shifts. · Preferred: Two years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
