Infusion Pharmacy Supervisor

PharmServ has a Direct-Hire opportunity with a specialty infusion pharmacy. They provide in-home and alternate site infusion care across the state. The client offers treatments such as IV antibiotics, immunoglobulin therapy, and nutrition support. Pharmacists in this role will collaborate with clinical teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.  

As the Pharmacy Supervisor, you’ll step into a supportive, team-oriented environment. You’ll help ensure patients receive safe, accurate, and timely medications while coordinating with nurses, delivery teams, and other pharmacy staff. You’ll also have the opportunity to guide therapy decisions and monitor patient progress, all while contributing to a unified mission of improving patient outcomes.

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Assess patients for home or alternate-site care, ensuring safe and appropriate treatment. 
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, prioritizing patient needs and smooth workflow. 
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, including controlled substances; may serve as pharmacist in charge. 
• Train and guide staff on pharmacy systems and equipment, ensuring efficient and accurate operations. 
• Support clinical and operational teams by providing accurate guidance on services and therapies. 
• Manage medication, infusion pumps, and medical supply inventory, ensuring proper storage, security, and adherence to company policies. 
• Develop, monitor, and adjust patient-specific pharmacy care plans based on clinical data and lab results. 
• Prepare and dispense medications using correct techniques and calibrated equipment 
• Educate physicians, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and other staff on pharmacy protocols and patient care practices. 
• Organize workload, prioritize tasks, and utilize pharmacy staff effectively. 
• Participate in on-call coverage and coordinate care across multiple sites as needed.

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, active pharmacist license in Minnesota in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy 
• 3–5 years of experience in a clean room or infusion pharmacy OR 2 years of experience plus one of the following: 
• Knowledge of non-sterile compounding and MTM 
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency 
• Equivalent experience approved by pharmacy leadership 
• Willing to travel up to 5 % of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
