Retail Community Pharmacist In-Charge - Full-Time - Direct Hire - Near Iowa City, IA

PharmServ now has a Direct Hire opportunity for a long-term care pharmacy near Iowa City, Iowa. This role offers a variety of responsibilities beyond standard dispensing, giving you the chance to be involved in different aspects of pharmacy operations.

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

•  Verify and dispense medication orders for long-term care and assisted living facilities 
• Ensure accuracy and safety in all aspects of medication preparation and distribution 
• Collaborate with technicians to maintain efficient workflow, including filling, checking, and stocking medications 
• Communicate with facility nurses, prescribers, and staff to address medication-related questions or clarifications 
• Support consulting services when applicable, including medication reviews and compliance checks 
• Maintain accurate records and follow all state and federal pharmacy regulations 
• Uphold high standards of professionalism, reliability, and teamwork in daily operations 
• Contribute to a positive, solutions-focused environment that supports both staff and facility partners 

Schedule:  

Monday – Friday: 8:30a – 6p 

Saturday: 9a – 2p 

Sunday: Closed 

On – Call: 3 weeknights per month, 1 weekend every other month 

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, active pharmacist license in Iowa in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy 
• All Continued Education credits fulfilled 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Experience with Framework 
• Immunization Administration Certified 
• LTC experience is preferred but not required
