Retail Pharmacist – Direct Hire – Northcentral, IA region

PharmServ has an open PRN opportunity at a community retail pharmacy 10 miles East of Clear Lake, IA. 

This small-town pharmacy averages around 200 prescriptions per day. The pace is steady, with a strong emphasis on customer service and efficiency. Technicians handle data entry and preparation, allowing the pharmacist to focus on verification, immunizations, and direct patient care. The team is well-trained, making daily operations smooth and supportive.

Compensation for this Position: 

• Your current hourly rate with PharmServ 
• Mileage reimbursement 
• Drivetime 
• Lodging and Per Diem if needed 

Facility Duties and Expectations: 

• Accurately dispense prescribed medications and verify orders using McKesson Enterprise software 
• Provide clear guidance and counseling on medication usage, safety, and wellness solutions 
• Collaborate with technicians to prioritize prescriptions, customer requests, and store needs 
• Maintain patient records and documentation in alignment with state and federal pharmacy regulations 
• Support services and other patient care programs as needed 
• Ensure the pharmacy is closed in compliance with client’s policies 

Schedule: 

• 9a – 6p shifts 
• Every Friday + varying weekdays 
• 1 Saturday shift (9a – 5p) 

Required Qualifications: 

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, active pharmacist license in Iowa in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy 
• Compliant with all client-required credentialing (Call to learn more)  

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Familiarity with McKesson Enterprise software 
• Comfortable working in fast-paced settings
