PharmServ has a PRN Behavioral Health Pharmacist opportunity with a pharmacy serving a community behavioral-health organization 90 miles east of Mount Vernon, IL. This site supports patients receiving outpatient mental-health, addiction-treatment, and case-management services. The workflow is steady, structured, and much calmer than high-volume retail, with a team that values accuracy, communication, and consistency. 

The pharmacist’s role here is steady and relational: answer questions, keep people safe, and help them stay on their treatment plans. It’s the kind of environment where the work feels personal, not transactional.

Compensation for this Position:  

• Your current competitive hourly rate with PharmServ 
• Mileage reimbursement

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, dosing, and clinical appropriateness 
• Support patients picking up behavioral-health, MAT, and chronic-condition medications 
• Dispense and oversee daily workflow with onsite technicians 
• Provide clear, straightforward counseling when appropriate 
• Assist with insurance troubleshooting and communication with clinic staff 
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations 
• Document interventions and maintain accurate records 
• Uphold a patient-first approach, especially when working with vulnerable populations 

Schedule: 

• Pharmacists choose the shifts they work. 
• Ongoing coverage as needed. 

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, Active pharmacist license in Illinois, in good standing with the Illinois Board of Pharmacy 
• BCLS certification 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Immunization Admin. Certification
