LTC Assistant Pharmacy Manager

PharmServ has a full-time Direct - Hire opportunity with a closed-door long-term care pharmacy 55 miles South of Bloomington, MN. This pharmacy is part of a locally owned, family-operated network with a long history of serving Minnesota communities. The team is committed to providing dependable, high-quality pharmacy services to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and rehabilitation centers. 

This position is ideal for a pharmacist ready to take on a leadership role within a structured yet supportive environment. The Assistant Manager will help oversee daily operations, guide pharmacy staff, and uphold the high standards of safety, accuracy, and service that define the organization.

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Supervise and support pharmacists and technicians, assisting the Pharmacy Manager as needed. 
• Review, process, and verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently. 
• Monitor resident medication records and collaborate with nursing facilities to improve outcomes. 
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations. 
• Manage medication inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels. 
• Communicate regularly with the Pharmacy Manager regarding operations, staffing, and patient care. 
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and pharmacy process updates. 
• Address staff or patient concerns promptly and professionally. 

Schedule:  

• Work: 4 days  a week 
• 35 – 40hr per week 
• Varying hours between 7:45a – 6p 
• Rotating weekend every 7th weekend 
• On-Call 1 Night every other week, and the weekend you work 
    

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, active pharmacist license in Minnesota in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• 2 years' experience in LTC setting 
• Ability to handle high stress environments 
• Very organized
