PharmServ is offering a PRN assignment that places you in a clinical pharmacy setting in Southwestern Iowa. The pharmacy has established processes and clearly defined roles. Pharmacists are treated as part of the clinical care team, not vending machines. 


In this role, you’ll support clinical operations including medication review, order verification, and collaboration with providers and nursing staff. The focus is on safe therapy decisions, clear documentation, and steady workflow. Some sites also support long-term care or transitional services, adding variety without disrupting the clinical rhythm of the day.

Compensation for this Position:  

  • Your current hourly rate with PharmServ 
  • Mileage reimbursement 
  • Drivetime 
  • Lodging and Per Diem if needed. 

 

 

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

  • Review and verify medication orders for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care settings 
  • Support clinical teams by identifying dosing concerns, interactions, or therapy issues during routine review 
  • Provide medication guidance to nursing staff and providers as questions arise throughout the day 
  • Work alongside pharmacy technicians to keep order flow accurate, timely, and organized 
  • Assist with medication reconciliation, patient education, and discharge support when needed 
  • Maintain clear documentation and uphold hospital, state, and federal medication standards 
  • Adapt to daily priorities across departments while keeping patient safety front and center 

 


Schedule:  

  • 12-week Coverage assignment 
  • Monday – Friday: 8a – 4:30p 
  • Ongoing coverage as needed 
  • Pharmacists work the shifts they choose to accept. 

 


Required Qualifications:  

  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
  • Valid, active pharmacist license in Minnesota in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy 
  • BCLS certification 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Immunization Administration Certification
