Community Retail Pharmacist

In this role, you’ll help with core retail responsibilities such as prescription verification, patient counseling, and supporting daily workflow alongside technicians who know their regulars and keep things running smoothly. The pharmacy also supports long-term care facilities, adding some structured, behind-the-scenes work to an otherwise familiar retail routine.

Compensation for this Position:  

• Your current competitive hourly rate with PharmServ 
• Mileage reimbursement 
• Drivetime 
• Lodging and Per Diem if needed 

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Oversee prescription filling from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and safety 
• Spend time with patients explaining medications, changes in therapy, and vaccines 
• Work side-by-side with technicians to keep workflow organized and on track 
• Help with everyday pharmacy operations that support compliance and consistency 

Schedule: 

• Ongoing coverage as needed. 
• Pharmacists choose the shifts they work. 

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, Active pharmacist license in Iowa, in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy 
• BCLS certification 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Immunization Admin. Certification
