Clinical Pharmacist

PharmServ is offering a PRN Pharmacist opportunity with a pharmacy chain that specializes in providing care within behavioral health facilities in Northwest, IA. The pharmacy serves individuals receiving care for mental health and substance use recovery, where the quality of care makes a real difference to patients’ day-to-day life. Compensation for this Position:  

• Your current competitive hourly rate with PharmServ 
• Mileage reimbursement 
• Drivetime 
• Lodging and Per Diem if needed 

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Review prescriptions to confirm the medication, dose, and directions are safe and appropriate. 
• Dispense medications and work alongside onsite technicians to keep the pharmacy running smoothly throughout the day. 
• Assist patients receiving medications for behavioral health and other ongoing health conditions. 
• Provide clear, practical counseling when patients have questions about their medications. 
• Follow all state and federal pharmacy regulations, including proper handling of controlled substances. 
• Keep documentation and patient records organized and up to date. 
• Approach each interaction with care and patience, especially when working with vulnerable populations. 

Schedule: 

• May – 2 Shifts 
• June – 2 Shift 
• 8a –4:30p 
• Ongoing coverage as needed. 
• Pharmacists choose the shifts they work. 

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, Active pharmacist license in Iowa, in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy 
• BCLS certification 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Immunization Admin. Certification
