Independent Community Retail Pharmacist

PharmServ is partnering with an independent community pharmacy 22 miles North of Springfield, IL to provide PRN coverage through April starting March 31st. Serving its local community since 2005, this pharmacy is embedded into its town. Known for having strong relationships, customer service is a top priority in their day-to-day operations. 
 
Here, you will help the pharmacy continue to operate smoothly and serve its patients without interruption. This pharmacy offers many services to support its community, such as home delivery, compounding, and med packaging.

Compensation for this Position:  

• Your current competitive hourly rate with PharmServ 
• Mileage reimbursement 
• Drivetime 
• Lodging and Per Diem if needed 
   

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Verify prescriptions accurately and help keep daily workflow running smoothly alongside the pharmacy team 
• Provide friendly, straightforward counseling and build strong relationships with patients 
• Support services like medication packaging, home delivery coordination, and adherence programs 
• Assist with compounding and immunizations if certified 
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment 
• Communicate clearly with staff and PharmServ to ensure consistent coverage and patient care 

Schedule: 

• Through April 
• Mon – Fri: 9a – 6p 
• Sat: 9a –12p 
• Sun: Closed 
• Pharmacist choose the shifts they work. 
• Ongoing coverage as needed. 

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, Active pharmacist license in Illinois, in good standing with the Illinois Board of Pharmacy 
• BCLS certification 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Immunization Admin. Certification
