PharmServ has a PRN Independent Community Retail opportunity for a pharmacist looking to be part of the impact and value independent pharmacies bring to their communities. This assignment is located 78 miles North of Sioux City. The pharmacy owner is well-regarded within the Iowa pharmacy community, and his store has built a loyal patient base. 

Here, you will work closely with one tech to keep the day moving. It’s a hands-on role, supporting long-term care orders, filling, and dispensing. At this pharmacy, you don’t just provide friendly customer service; you build relationships.

Compensation for this Position:  

• Your current competitive hourly rate with PharmServ 
• Mileage reimbursement 
• Drivetime 
• Lodging and Per Diem if needed 

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions for retail and long-term care patients while maintaining safe workflow. 
• Work closely with the technician to support filling, dispensing, medication preparation, and general daily operations. 
• Provide dependable customer service and build strong relationships with patients and the local community. 
• Supervise technician work, including PSE processing and workflow tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance. 
• Answer questions from patients, providers, and staff, and provide counseling when appropriate. 
• Follow all pharmacy procedures, state and federal regulations, and support timely medication delivery and LTC order coordination. 

Schedule: 

• Pharmacists choose the shifts they work. 
• Ongoing coverage as needed. 

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, Active pharmacist license in Iowa, in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy 
• BCLS certification 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Immunization Admin. Certification
