PharmServ is searching for an Inpatient Pharmacist to work with  community outpatient pharmacy located on a full-service medical campus 10 miles East of West Des Moines, IA. This healthcare system includes primary and specialty clinics, emergency and urgent care, mental health services, and a wide range of support programs. 

Pharmacists in this role support the outpatient pharmacy’s day-to-day workflow, including verification, dispensing, and patient counseling. You’ll work in a steady, organized environment with a team that values clear communication, reliability, and consistent service. This is a good fit for pharmacists who enjoy direct patient interaction and want to contribute to a mission-driven, safety-net healthcare setting. 

Compensation for this Position:  

• Your current hourly rate with PharmServ 
• Mileage reimbursement 
• Drivetime 
• Lodging and Per Diem if needed 
   

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately and on time 
• Review medication orders for safety, dosing, interactions, and appropriateness 
• Counsel patients on new prescriptions and answer medication-related questions 
• Document clinical interventions and maintain accurate records 
• Assist with communication to providers, insurance partners, and financial staff when issues arise 
• Perform routine inspections of medication areas as assigned 
• Support the pharmacy team with workflow needs across the outpatient department 
• Use translation tools (including webcam-based services) to assist non-English-speaking patients 
• Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations 

Pharmacy Hours:  

• Mon – Fri: 8a – 8p 
• Sat : 8a – 4p 
• Sun: Closed 

Schedule: 

• Pharmacists choose the shifts they work. 
• Ongoing coverage needed
