Long-Term Care Pharmacy Technician 

Full-Time – East-Central, IA region

PharmServ is offering a permanent placement Full-time Technician opportunity with a closed-door long-term care facility 10 miles east of Coralville, IA. In this role, you’ll help make sure long-term care patients get the medications they rely on every day, accurately and on time. The team runs a structured operation and values technicians who take ownership of their work and keep things moving. 

This is a good fit if you like routine, are organized, and enjoy being part of a team that people depend on. You’ll help with daily pharmacy operations, prepare medications, and play an important role in keeping patient care consistent behind the scenes.

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Support the pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations, including preparing, filling, and labeling prescriptions. 
• Enter prescription orders and maintain accurate patient profiles, including health and insurance information. 
• Communicate with insurance providers and prescribers to resolve claims, obtain refill authorizations, and support patient care. 
• Assist with inventory management, medication ordering, stocking, and maintaining proper storage and security of medications. 
• Prepare and package medications, including prepackaging bulk medications and compounding oral solutions, creams, and ointments. 
• Help maintain a smooth pharmacy operation by answering phones, supporting automated dispensing systems, and keeping work areas organized and clean. 

Hours of Operation: 

• Monday – Friday 
• 9a - 6p 
• Saturday 
• 9a - 3p 
• Sunday 
• Closed 

Required Qualifications:  

• Valid, Active Pharmacy Technician registration, in good standing. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification 
• Must pass CPhT test within a year of your hire date. 
• Immunization Admin. Certification 
• BCLS certification
