Don’t miss this opportunity in a supportive outpatient pharmacy environment near the Sioux Center, IA area! PharmServ is offering the chance to learn an established workflow, work alongside an experienced pharmacy team, and provide coverage following a PIC promotion within the pharmacy’s health system.


Our client is looking to train and orient 2–3 pharmacists during an overlap week, starting September 14th, so pharmacists are familiar with the pharmacy’s workflow and systems with ongoing shifts starting September 21st. The environment is described as a great place to work, with an emphasis on teamwork, accuracy, productivity, and customer service.


The pharmacy typically has double pharmacist coverage, with one day each week requiring a pharmacist to work independently from open to close. You chose the days that work for your schedule.


Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently while maintaining patient safety.
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service and answer medication-related questions.
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacy staff to keep daily workflow moving smoothly.
  • Learn and work within the pharmacy’s established Pioneer workflow and processes.
  • Support 340B operations using MacroHelix, with pharmacy staff providing training on the accumulator.
  • Assist with weekly LTC packaging for a nursing home in the area.
  • Maintain accurate, productive output that supports an efficient pharmacy operation.
  • Adapt to working independently when scheduled for the pharmacy’s single-coverage day.


Hours of Operation:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
  • Saturday: & Sunday: Closed
  • Typical shifts begin at 8:00 AM or 10:00 AM (You chose based on your availability)


Compensation for this assignment includes: 

  • Your current hourly rate with PharmServ
  • Mileage 
  • Drivetime
  • Lodging and Per Diem if needed.
