PharmServ has a Direct - Hire part-time opportunity with an independent community pharmacy 38miles Southeast of Waterloo, IA. With a 90 year history of serving their community, this organization has built a strong and trusted brand. They act as the primary pharmacy for the local nursing homes, jail, and critical access hospital.



This role offers the ability to float between two locations, one retail-based and one clinic-based. The pharmacies are well-staffed with six pharmacists and twelve technicians, providing a supportive and collaborative environment. The client is seeking a qualified pharmacist to work 2–3 days per week, with flexibility to choose your preferred schedule.

Compensation for this Position:

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Deliver individualized pharmacy services in both retail and clinic environments 
• Assist nursing homes and other community healthcare facilities with medication needs 
• Oversee the preparation and distribution of weekly pill organizers for patients at home 
• Provide immunizations and maintain proper documentation 
• Act as the pharmacy resource for a local Critical Access Hospital and county detention center 
• Keep thorough records and adhere to all applicable pharmacy laws and standards 
• Work alongside pharmacists and technicians to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care 

Hours of Operation:  

• Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri: 8a – 5:30p 
• Thur: 8a – 7p 
• Sat: 8a – 5p 
• Sun: 10a - 12p 
    

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, active pharmacist license in Iowa in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy
