Retail Community Pharmacist 

PRN – Northwest, IA region

PharmServ has a PRN opportunity with a retail community pharmacy 93 miles northwest of Fort Dodge, IA. This is a small-town pharmacy serving a close-knit community that values reliable care and friendly service. The staff works well together and helps visiting pharmacists get comfortable with the store’s routines and workflow. 

Technicians are experienced with the pharmacy’s systems and handle daily operations efficiently, allowing pharmacists to focus on verification, patient counseling, and immunizations. 

Compensation for this Position:  

• Your current hourly rate with PharmServ 
• Mileage reimbursement 
• Drivetime 
• Lodging and Per Diem if needed. 

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Deliver accurate, efficient, and courteous pharmacy service 
• Verify prescriptions for safety, accuracy, and legal compliance 
• Work with pharmacy staff to maintain organized, timely workflow 
• Provide medication counseling and patient support when needed 
• Administer immunizations and assist with vaccination workflow 
• Ensure adherence to company policies and all state and federal regulations 
• Quickly adapt to the pharmacy’s workflow 

Schedule:  

• Ongoing coverage needed 
• 10:30a – 6:30p shifts 
• Pharmacists work the shifts they choose to accept. 
    

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, active pharmacist license in Iowa in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy 
• BCLS certification 
• Immunization Administration Certification
