Community Retail Pharmacist

Want flexible work without stepping away from everyday pharmacy practice? PharmServ is working with a community retail pharmacy located 58 miles North of Sioux City, IA. This is an established pharmacy that focuses on steady workflow and taking good care of the local community. 

You’ll handle prescription verification, counsel patients, give immunizations, and help keep the pharmacy running smoothly. Their operation is predictable, so you can jump in and focus on patient care.

Compensation for this Position:  

• Your current competitive hourly rate with PharmServ 
• Mileage reimbursement 
• Drivetime 
• Lodging and Per Diem if needed 

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Review and dispense prescriptions with accuracy and attention to detail 
• Counsel patients and provide clinical support when appropriate 
• Deliver immunizations within scope of certification 
• Help maintain daily workflow and pharmacy operations 
• Participate in patient care programs and medication management services 
• Work closely with technicians and store staff to keep the pharmacy running smoothly 
• Follow all state and federal pharmacy regulations and standards 

Schedule: 

• Pharmacists choose the shifts they work. 
• Ongoing coverage as needed. 

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, Active pharmacist license in Iowa, in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy 
• BCLS certification 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Immunization Admin. Certification
