Hospital Pharmacist

PharmServ has a PRN opportunity with a retail community pharmacy 22 miles North of Minneapolis, MN. This facility provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services and is part of a well established regional health network known for its high standards of care. 

Pharmacists in this role will support daily hospital operations including medication review, compounding, and verification. You will work alongside nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure safe and accurate medication use across multiple departments. This position is ideal for pharmacists who thrive in a structured, clinical environment and enjoy working with a coordinated, professional team. 

Compensation for this Position:  

• Your current hourly rate with PharmServ 
• Mileage reimbursement 
• Drivetime 
• Lodging and Per Diem if needed. 

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, safety, and proper dosing 
• Prepare and compound sterile and non-sterile products following facility standards 
• Dispense and document medications for inpatient and outpatient needs 
• Work with nursing and medical staff to address drug interactions, allergies, and dosing adjustments 
• Assist with home infusion orders and related IV preparation as assigned 
• Provide clinical input and medication counseling as appropriate 
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and documentation requirements 
• Support technicians and other staff to ensure smooth and efficient workflow 

Schedule:  

• Ongoing coverage as needed. 
• 8-hour shifts 
• Weekend shift opportunities are available. 
• Pharmacists work the shifts they choose to accept. 
    

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, Active pharmacist license in Minnesota, in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy 
• BCLS certification 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Immunization Administration Certification 
• Hospital or home-infusion experience 
• Strong sterile compounding skills
