Retail Community Pharmacist

PharmServ has a PRN opportunity with a retail community pharmacy 32 miles south of Pella, IA. This small-town pharmacy offers a welcoming, community-centered environment where accuracy and service come first. 

The team is experienced and supportive, helping visiting pharmacists integrate quickly into the workflow. Technicians are well-trained in the store’s systems, allowing pharmacists to focus on verification, patient counseling, and immunizations while keeping operations running smoothly 

Compensation for this Position:  

• Your current hourly rate with PharmServ 
• Mileage reimbursement 
• Drivetime 
• Lodging and Per Diem if needed. 

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Provide friendly, accurate, and efficient customer service to patients and staff 
• Verify prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance 
• Work with the trained pharmacy technicians to prioritize orders and manage store needs 
• Assist technicians and staff in navigating verification screens when needed 
• Administer immunizations when technicians are unavailable or volume increases 
• Maintain regulatory compliance and uphold the company’s standards of safety and service 
• Adapt quickly to the workflow and technology within the store 
• Contribute to a positive work environment 

Schedule:  

• Ongoing coverage needed 
• 10a – 6p and 8a – 6p shift options 
• Pharmacists work the shifts they choose to accept. 
  

Required Qualifications:  

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution 
• Valid, active pharmacist license in Iowa in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy 
• BCLS certification 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Immunization Administration Certification
