Long-Term Care Pharmacist

PharmServ has a Direct-Hire full-time opportunity with a respected long-term care and rehabilitation facility 60 miles northeast of Des Moines, IA. Pharmacists here play a vital role in ensuring quality medication management for residents in both clinical and long-term care settings.

Compensation for this Position:  

• Wage – Up to $122.43k/yr 
• PTO + 9 Paid Holidays/yr

Facility Duties and Expectations:  

• Verify, prepare, and dispense medications accurately and safely 
• Oversee medication therapy for residents and make adjustments based on clinical outcomes 
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize patient treatment plans 
• Review medication orders for interactions, contraindications, and allergies 
• Support quality assurance, formulary management, and compliance initiatives 
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations 

Schedule:  

• Day shifts with occasional weekend or holiday rotation 
• On-Call rotation 
   

Required Qualifications: 

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) degree from an accredited institution   
• Valid, active pharmacist license in Iowa in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy
